Ingredients:
1 2/3 cups S.R Flour
1 1/4 teaspoons bi-carb soda
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups full cream milk
2 large or 3 small eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup soft butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method:
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Add shortening, milk and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes at a medium speed,.
Add eggs, and beat 2 more minutes. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8" round pans, and bake in moderate oven for 35-40 minutes.
